Studio Gear CC Cream

There's a HUGE hype over BB and CC creams recently. I've tried more then I would actually like to admit. However, recently I tried the Studio Gear one and I really like it. It's unlike anything I've tried before- It starts as a white then when you blend it into your skin it changes color to match your tones.
-It didn't break me out.
-My skin felt hydrated.
-The color was a little off, but with powder and bronzer it worked.

FTC: I was sent this CC cream, but I actually liked it. As if anyone could pay me to change my opinion.

I get asked all the time how to get rid of dark spots and this is my #1 favorite product! I've been using it for over a month and I can see a HUGE difference in my dark/age spots on my face. This is so great because it is all natural, full of so many vitamins, and does exactly what it's suppose to! I'm IN LOVE. Not only has it gotten rid of a lot of dark spots, but it also does a great job at moisturizing my skin. Oils are a huge rage right now, and I definitely wouldn't pass this one up!

Things Are Changing.

So as you may have noticed, I haven't been posting much here on NicoleStyle101. And honestly, my only excuse is that I'm trying to figure out with I am. I've been on this journey for 20 short/long years, and it surely took me that long to figure out who I am and what I want to do with the rest of my life.

My senior year of high school, my school basically forced all the seniors to go to college. If you decided to not take the college route, you were definitely looked down upon. I had no freaking clue what I was going to study in college because I really wanted to go to beauty school and be a professional makeup artist. I enjoy makeup more then anything when it comes to hobbies so I thought that was what I wanted to do. Growing up, if you would have asked me what "I wanted to be" everyone would have known I was going to be a teacher. I didn't play house, I played teacher. I had popsicle sticks with pretend students' names on them and I would call on the students to do the math homework on the board. Or read the next paragraph in a book. As I grew up, I had 2-3 people tell me that teaching was the WORST field to go in to.
The money sucks.
The president is making things worse.
It's too stressful.
The state is taking our money away.
The state is controlling the testing.
It's miserable.

So as I started my freshman year of college I majored in psychology. My plan was to become a counselor and help children who had a rough family life. I realized that was not 100% for me. Then I changed to nutrition. Then I changed to business. Then I changed to communications. Here's the thing, all this time I dabbled in a few of these classes from each major, and basically hated them all. During the 3 semesters I was in, I had been taking an education class each semester to fill a General Education credit. I met a friend (who is majoring in edu) who convinced me to take these classes to fill the GE credits. While taking these classes, I didn't not like them. I enjoyed them.

ANYWAYS, long story short… I've changed my major to early childhood education. It took me twenty years to finally stick up for myself and do what I want to do. I know my family supports whatever decision I make, whether it be a professional makeup artist or second grade teacher.

Here's how this all relates to my blog_____________
As I'm changing, I want to change my blog too. I, obviously, am still into makeup and fashion and fitness which is what I've been posting all along. But I want to post things related to what I learn about teaching. DIY's. Crafts. Experiences. Recipes. Organization. Just more all around life things.

Clean & Clear Hydrating Gel Moisturizer & Cleanser Review

Today I'm here to share with you two skin care products that my skin has been absolutely adoring. When I first saw these on the shelves at Target I was immediately drawn to them because the color of their packaging... and then I continued reading.
Hydrating..?
Oil Free...?
Water Based...?
Won't Clog Pores...?
Lightweight...?
GEL...?
I've tried the morning burst cleansers before and really loved them for a great face wash but I never found them to do anything major to my skin. The Morning Burst Hydrating line is a different story...

Makeup Monday: Aztec Healing Clay

"The World's Most Powerful Facial Mask"

Happy Monday Beauts!

Today I'm here to share with you one of my ALL TIME favorite products that not many people know about! I don't care if your skin is acne prone, dry, or oily: we all can benefit from this amazing product!
It's the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. This product is very, very different and interesting. It is a clay powder substance that you mix with apple cider vinegar to become a paste.
Once you mix, you apply to your face for around 15-20 minutes. When you take it off, your skin will thank you 1000 times.
It reduces acne scars, helps with redness, shrinks pores, makes your face tighten. & Not only can you use this on your face, but you can use it on any body imperfections as well as nasty bug bites!!

Here's the thing, it's UNDER TEN DOLLARS!

Buy the Clay Here for $8!!!!!

Beauty Tip Today says this about the mask: “almost every mineral found on Earth is present. When a facial or clay poultice is applied to the skin it forms a negative charge. Poisons and toxins stored in the epidermis have a positive charge – Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay lifts the pimple and blackheads into the clay bed to cause accelerated healing and nourishment to the skin with over fifty minerals. 100% NATURAL.”

How To: Make ANY Mascara Waterproof!

Today I have a very exciting post for you all! As many of you know, I'm a blogger for Anastasia of Beverly Hills and have been for awhile. I absolutely adore their products and I love when I get to share them with you!
In May 2012, Anastasia is going to release their Lash Genius! The Lash Genius is a top coat for any mascara and it will make any mascara waterproof! Any mascara! I absolutely adore the product and have been using it every day since I received it. The formula is a white and mascara like. It does not clump mascara and you cannot even see the product on the lashes; it dries clear. You can also use the product with false lashes too! 1. Apply falsies with adhesive, let adhesive dry 2. Apply mascara to lashes (and falsies), let mascara dry 3. Apply Lash Genius to lashes (and falsies), let dry. It's that easy!

You're going to love this product. I wouldn't be wasting your time with this post if I honestly did not believe this product was worth your money!

I hope you guys check out the Lash Genius and tell me if you do when it comes up May 2012!
I'll also remind you when it comes out ;)

Sending Well Wishes Your Way,
Xo Nicole

My favorite FALL nailpolish!

(In order from left to right from the first picture)
New York Color- Broadway Burgundy Frost
Sinful Colors Professional- Sugar Sugar
Sinful Colors Professional- Mercury Rising
Sinful Color Professional- Orange Diamond
Sally Hanson Insta Dri- Blazing Blue
Opi- Lucerne Tainly Look Marvelous
Opi- Black Shatter
Nicole by Opi- Miss Independent
Sinful Color Professional- Volcanic
L.A. Color- Mega Watt

I am beyond thrilled that the weather is starting to cool down and fall is on it's way. I love when the colors of the leaves change colors and the temperatures start to go down! I also love it when the fall trends start to come out. I believe that nail polish is a huge fall fashion trend. I feel like it ties together your outfit with a perfect little bow! As you can see in the pictures above, the perfect fall nail polishes range from a variety of colors. Obviously, reds are a huge must! Yet so are golds, purples, blacks and silvers! A nude nail is also very, very in this fall. But by saying that, it does not mean that you have to wear dark colored nails. If you want to rock those hot green or pink nails, DO IT! It's all about your own personal style and choice!

Sending Loving Wishes Your Way,
Nicole
