As many of you know, I've recently really gotten into fitness and being healthy. My goal is not to loose 100 pounds, however I would like to loose some weight and look fit and fab for the upcoming bikini season. Not to mention, who wouldn't want to look like a VS model?...
In today's post, I'm going to go over just a few tips on how to loose weight in a healthy way. Keep in mind that I'm not a personal trainer (even though I would LOVE to be...) or a nutritionist.
1. Take it slow.
You're not going to see anything overnight, unfortunately. The picture I posted up above is true. You won't see anything yourself for quite a while. But when you do, it will all be worth it... I promise!!
2. Get moving.
I recommend 5-6 days a week to be active. Starting out, you do no want to push yourself too far. Start slow and get up to 6 or 7 days a week. I currently am going to the gym 5-6 days a week.
3. Eat breakfast.
Breakfast is one of the most important things you could ever do to help your body. I do not mean a donut or a Luna bar out the door, I mean eggs & toast, oatmeal & fruit, or even a healthy cereal. You seriously NEED to eat breakfast!
4. Eat a rainbow.
Do me a favor, think of your favorite junk food.. is it a blan color? Most unhealthy over-processed food is a blan (usually yellow-ish) color. You do not want that. Start eating a rainbow. In a good salad, theres green from the greens; red from the tomatoes; orange from the carrots, ect. Your favorite berries are red, black, or blue. You see my point right? Fresh colorful foods!!
5. Water water water.
Water is very important for many many things. A cold glass with lemon will get your metabolism moving as well as flush out all the toxins, and so much more! There are many water calculators, telling you how much you should drink per day, but the average is around 64 OZ a day.
I hope you take my recommendations with a grain of salt! If you have any to share, don't forget to leave them in the comments down below! As well as tell me what else you would like to hear about fitness!
